Our design philosophy is not about ideology or style, but about analysing, understanding and responding to the client´s brief to produce simple but inspiring buildings, which are economically, socially and environmentally responsive.

The roots of our philosophy stem from our passion for the built environment and our desire to gain the trust and respect of our clients, our staff, the consultant teams we work with and the people who interact with our buildings and spaces. To do this we are committed to learning and continuous improvement through discussion, training and feedback from clients and building users.

Philosophy

Our buildings are modern yet sympathetic to context, with an honest expression of structure and materials. We limit their impact on the environment by the careful utilisation of resources, sustainable materials, construction processes and renewable energy.

Conservation is also an important part of our strategy. Protecting and reusing existing structures constitutes a large percentage of what we do. We have won awards for the sensitive conversion of historic buildings that meet the demands of contemporary society.
