As executive architects, Berman Guedes Stretton worked to deliver the first UK building designed by the signature American practice, Richard Meier and Partners. Designed and built to an uncompromisingly high standard of quality, this private house includes a large open plan living space, separate kitchen and dining rooms, a gymnasium and office. A separate guest house is located within the grounds together with an outside swimming pool and tennis court. A large photovoltaic array, solar thermal energy, ground source heat and mechanical ventilation and heat recovery system work to ensure the building is run in a responsible way appropriate to the 21st century. With its unique Meier aesthetic, this building is a stunning modernist sculpture set within the Oxfordshire countryside.
