Imperial Sherfield
Berman Guedes Stretton have been commissioned to undertake the refurbishment of levels 3 and 4 of the Sherfield Building for Imperial College London. designed in the early 1960s by Norman and Dawbar it is the central administration and social centre for the college.
The brief was to create additional space on campus to allow expansion of existing departments and bring the existing accommodation up to modern standards.
By infilling lightwells on two levels, and moving to open plan accommodation, the floor space was increased by approximately 70%. |
