Indoor Tennis Centre: University of Warwick

The University of Warwick commissioned BGS to design an Indoor Tennis Centre on campus for use by students, staff, county tennis players and the general public. The site is in a green belt with adjoining mature trees and budget was tight. We developed a compact design with a dramatic curved roof to provide four indoor courts with viewing from an upper floor along with a reception, office and changing facilities. Natural ventilation is used where possible including the Tennis Hall and we are working towards achieving the best possible BREEAM score regarding sustainability.
