Eynsham Hall, Oxfordshire

Berman Guedes Stretton have been commissioned by Cathedral Group to masterplan the re-development of Eynsham Hall, Oxfordshire. The building is a vast grade II listed gothic revival building currently used as a conference and training centre. Its grandeur has been partly obscured by long periods institutional use. Cathedral Group's brief was to create a stimulating, contemporary, new environment which avoids the obvious clichés. The existing architecture of the building has been respected and enhanced adding conference leisure and bedroom accommodation. A planning application showing the site's conversion to a new 160 bedroom hotel was lodged in September this year.
