Blackwell Publishing Offices
The conversion of a 1970s warehouse building into offices provided accommodation for 55 people in a mix of open plan and cellular spaces.
Natural light floods into the interior through a new 200m2 central roof-light – a key feature of the scheme. The quality of light is further enhanced by a specially commissioned stained glass panel, which brings a rainbow of colours into the space while obscuring the view of a car park.
The completed building provides 1200m2 of accommodation including high quality conference facilities as well as highly serviced and flexible office space.
This was the first project that Berman Guedes Stretton designed for Blackwell Publishing.
