Stockmore Street, Oxford

Conversion of a Victorian music hall and redundant outbuildings to create a new mixed-use development of nine apartments, retail and commercial office space.

The design successfully responds to the landlocked nature of the site, maximizing its potential while respecting the tight planning constraints.

Berman Guedes Stretton has collaborated with developers W E Black on a number of conversions and new-build works in Oxford. The planning process was complex and involved lengthy public negotiations with neighbours and council members to reach a satisfactory resolution.
