Grove House

A Grade II listed Regency Villa, previously owned by Graham Greene, Sir George Forrest, and the family of Cardinal Newman, was renovated to become more environmentally sustainable. Two linked late 18th century properties (one timber frame, the other solid brickwork) and ‘The Rotunda’ (a rounded coach house built in the 1960s to house Mrs Grahame Green’s dolls house collection) were reconfigured to form three separate dwellings. To reduce the carbon footprint the properties have been insulated as far as listed status would allow, and a wood pellet biomass boiler, a rainwater harvesting system and a ‘whole house’ heat recovery system have been installed.
