Exeter College: Master Plan Development
Siting an Antony Gormley sculpture on top of the Thomas Wood Building was one of the services that Berman Guedes Stretton has delivered following the development of a master plan for Exeter College.
The site presents a unique opportunity to build adjacent to Gilbert Scott’s Grade II* listed Chapel and other Grade I listed buildings in the centre of Oxford.
Straddling the line of the northern medieval city wall, the design of a large multi- purpose lecture theatre will expose remnants of the wall and bastions in excavations outside the line of the old wall: these will be incorporated as historical features.
