Corpus Christi College
This project required the creation of additional space in a constrained College site.
Five new study bedrooms, bathrooms and a kitchen were provided by extending the roof space of a Grade I listed building. The design process was informed by research into historic precedents so that the contemporary extension was complementary to the existing building.
The construction process was particularly complex as the existing listed building was constructed in masonry over a concrete frame and the lower floors were continuously occupied during construction.
